Started out VERY weak, a few friends said they couldn't make it past the first 10mins. However it seems to have got better over time, although i cant tell if that is me liking the world or the show

Honest, at first it reminds of the older fantasy series i used to watch a decade or more ago, but the more you watch it the more things one starts to enjoy. Especially some of the of the smaller characters positively surprised me for being a bit above the regular daftness one is used to expect of them. Its definitely no master piece but I'm invested to see it play out.

Is this a kids prog? Seriously awful in every dept. The lead cannot act at all and has terrible delivery. Story is poor and the entire feel of sets. design, costumes is what you might expect from school drama dept etc.

This is so poor lol. Same kind of mediocre acting/feel as "The seeker" or "shannara chronicles" ... half-assed at best :P If you like a series with cheesy acting/dialogue and something for background noise, this will do nicely ...
